Organizational Expectations:
As an IT manager you will be responsible for planning, management, coordination, communication, and oversight of staff activities in our Information Technology department. This position is a key partner within the organization requiring communication with colleagues, business stakeholders, national IT partners, and teams across the Federal Reserve System and/or the US Treasury.
This role primarily supports the Collections Information Repository (CIR) program. CIR is a web-based reporting platform that gives federal agencies information on deposits and collections. CIR streamlines financial transaction information from all collections and settlement systems into a single data repository and provides insights to this data through reports and data visualization.
General Responsibilities:
Oversee and contribute to the implementation of industry-best practice standards in application development processes, testing, and DevOps.
Works with business stakeholders and executives to identify opportunities that enable business solutions in support of their tactical and strategic objectives. May develop departmental strategic and tactical planning.
Exhibits and manages a culture that drives innovation and continuous improvement through servant leadership.
Provides and develops project and resource plans and supports development of strategic plans.
Works with stakeholders to recommend technical solutions to meet business needs.

Provide project planning and management with moderate complexity.
Provide oversight of staff including performance management, career development and coaching.
Participates on Bank or System work groups to advance technology initiatives.
Accountable for achieving team performance metrics and project deliverables on time, with agreed upon scope and within budget.
Accountable for maintaining ensuring deliverables meet compliance and security requirements, building a culture that adopts best practices for quality and security.
Consult on IT issues for the Bank, System and Department of Treasury.
Perform administrative and budgeting operations.
Education and Experience:
IT Manager I: Bachelor's Degree. 5+ years of diverse professional work experience which may include 1+ year of previous lead or supervisory responsibilities.
IT Manager II: Bachelor's Degree. 7+ years of diverse professional work experience including 3+ years of supervisory responsibilities.
Knowledge and Skills:
Work experience should include knowledge and exposure to specialized technical skills in an information technology discipline, including application development, data warehousing and analytics, AI/ML, DevOps, cloud technologies, infrastructure support, technical testing, and quality assurance.
Strong working understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
Ability to adapt communication to technical and non-technical audiences both verbally and nonverbally.
Strong business acumen, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
Experience coaching and developing others, including formal development plans and goal setting.
Ability to demonstrate leadership and influence outcomes in areas outside of direct oversight.
Physical Demands and General Working Conditions
Employees typically sit most of the day, work with a computer and may answer/respond to phone calls. Physical movement consists of walking for meetings, breaks, etc. Ability to lift items weighing approximately 20 pounds on a limited basis is required. Employees may be required to travel by car/air. Some travel within the US is required, and can be extensive.
