Job Overview:
Graham Technologies is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Information Technology Project Manager in the Ft. Belvoir, VA, area to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the development and implementation of assigned IT projects. As the SME Project Manager, you will oversee all aspects of project execution, working under the direction of the Senior Program Manager and Government project management leads. Your role will be critical in ensuring that projects meet deadlines, standards, and cost targets while aligning with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight: Manage all project development and implementation stages, serving as the single point of contact for assigned projects.
- Leadership Role: Act as the SME Project Manager, collaborating with the Senior Program Manager and Government project manager to drive project success.
- Project Planning: Define project scope and objectives, develop detailed work plans, and set project schedules, estimates, and resource plans to meet established deadlines and quality standards.
- Business Assessment: Assess the business implications of each project stage, from concept through final implementation.
- Project Meetings and Tracking: Conduct regular project meetings, track progress, and analyze outcomes to ensure project success.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Interface with all project stakeholders, including end users, IT services, and client services, at various organizational levels, from users to senior leadership.
- Technical Guidance: Lead the project team, providing technical and analytical guidance to bridge the gap between business and technical aspects.
- Problem Solving: Recommend solutions and take necessary actions to resolve project-related challenges.
- Vendor Management: Manage vendor tasks, ensuring that vendor deliverables adhere to project quality standards.
- Project Standards: Perform tasks in alignment with the Program Management Institute (PMI) guidelines and directives.
Basic Requirements:
- Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.
- Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Years of Experience and Degree
- With master's degree: 10+years of IT project management experience
- With bachelor's degree: 12+ years of IT project management experience
- 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Project.
- Proven ability to lead IT projects, manage resources, and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills..
