Position Summary
You will be providing customer service and diagnosing/troubleshooting our computer systems remotely. Tasks can include but are not limited to answering phone calls in a fast-paced environment, providing step-by-step customer service to our end users, gathering information on and diagnosing common computer problems, managing user accounts within an active directory, all while providing top level customer service. In this customer-facing role, expert communication and multi-tasking skills are necessary. To be successful in this role, you must be a team player, a fast learner, and have a passion for customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor the Zendesk dashboard for any open items and aim to resolve all outstanding tickets within a timely manner.
- Provide technical support for facilities and troubleshooting by remote or in person access. Address and resolve issues related to IT systems, ensuring minimal disruption to resident care and administrative functions. The IT Analyst might need to travel to the facility to identify and fix the issue at hand.
- Manage the deployment and integration of software and hardware solutions, practice management software, and other healthcare applications.
- Assist in the management of healthcare data, including data entry, integration, and reporting. Ensure data accuracy and integrity, and support data analytics initiatives to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of IT systems. Implement upgrades and enhancements to improve system functionality, security, and user experience.
- Ensure that IT systems and processes comply with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and other relevant federal and state laws. Assist in audits and assessments related to IT compliance.
- Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for healthcare staff on new systems and technologies. Create and maintain documentation related to system configurations, procedures, and user guides.
- Work with IT vendors and service providers to evaluate, implement, and manage technology solutions. Oversee vendor performance and ensure that services meet organizational standards.
- Assist in the planning and execution of IT projects, including system upgrades, new technology implementations, and process improvements. Support project management activities and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Skills, Abilities, & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Information Management, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Health Informatics Systems Professional (CHISP), CompTIA A+, or similar) are a plus.) preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support, analysis, or a related role, preferably within the healthcare industry.
- Strong understanding of healthcare IT systems and familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA).
- Proficiency in analyzing and designing technology solutions and workflows.
- Experience with data management, including data entry, integration, and reporting.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
