Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced IT Specialist & System Administrator to support and maintain the technology infrastructure of both our warehouse operations and remote workforce. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing hardware and software systems that are critical to the smooth running of a third-party logistics (3PL) warehouse. This includes maintaining and troubleshooting a variety of devices such as Windows/Mac computers, printers, scanners, VOIP phone systems, and network infrastructure. The IT Specialist will also be the primary point of contact for resolving technical issues, setting up new hardware, and coordinating with external software/service vendors. The System Administrator will be the primary point of contact for system management, including setting up and maintaining user accounts.
Primary Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Windows and Linux desktop and server systems, printers, scanners, handheld barcode scanners, and other hardware used in the warehouse.

Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, wireless access points, and cabling. Configure network equipment to ensure efficient and secure communication between devices.

Maintain and troubleshoot VOIP telephone systems, ensuring reliable internal and external communications for warehouse operations.

Install and set up new hardware such as computers, printers, and other devices. Ensure systems are properly configured and integrated with existing technology.

Act as the liaison between the company and external software and service vendors, coordinating installations, updates, and resolving any technical issues.

Provide technical support to warehouse staff for all hardware and software issues. Diagnose and resolve issues promptly to minimize downtime and disruptions to warehouse operations.

Continuously monitor the performance and functionality of IT systems, identifying and addressing potential issues before they impact operations.

Maintain accurate records of IT assets, system configurations, and any changes to the technology infrastructure.

Assist with the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of warehouse management software and other business-critical applications.

Recommend and implement improvements to the IT infrastructure to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

Begin with foundational understanding and progressively move to full ownership of user management and optimization within the Amazon Seller Central environment.

Develop a comprehensive understanding of Azure Active Directory, security tools, and user management, advancing through phases of responsibility, including strategic leadership in security practices.

Take on user management in Google Workspace, progressing to advanced ownership and optimization of userbase.

Build expertise in Extensiv 3PL system management, moving from initial familiarization to full ownership of warehousing configurations and optimizations.
Requirements:

Able to sit, stand, squat, walk, and maneuver within shipping station areas for 8-10 hours per day

Ability to consistently lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.

Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks

Detail oriented

Excellent command of the English language in both written and verbal communication
Experience:
-
2+ years of experience in IT support, preferably in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment.

Experience with hardware troubleshooting (computers, printers, scanners, etc.).

Proficient in supporting both Windows and Linux operating systems.

Familiarity with network configuration and infrastructure management.

Experience with VOIP phone systems.

Knowledge of vendor management and coordination with external IT service providers
