SUMMARY
Under the general guidance of the VP of Internal Audit & IT Audit Director, the IT Audit staff is responsible for evaluating and assessing the effectiveness of information technology controls ensuring that IT systems, processes, and practices align with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and Company policies. By carrying out a risk-based audit plan to assess, report on, and make suggestions for improving the Company's key IT operations and internal controls, the position will provide valuable insights to enhance the overall security, integrity, and availability of IT systems. Additionally, the position is responsible for identifying and helping to document internal controls to support the company's compliance with & monitoring of such internal controls.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties and tasks may be assigned.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to observe, document, and evaluate IT processes & procedures. Identify existing or potential inefficiencies and internal control weaknesses or risks associated with IT systems, data, and processes.
- Conduct detailed reviews of IT systems, applications, and infrastructure, evaluate the design and operational effectiveness of IT controls, and verify compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and relevant regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and communications for senior management and the Audit Committee, Collaborate with IT teams to implement recommended changes, and monitor progress.
- Participate in fraud investigations as needed.
- Support financial & operational audits as needed.
- Partner with project management teams during projects and implementations to provide input on control design and to conduct implementation reviews.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and their potential impact on audit strategies.
- Actively promotes GUEST customer service standards; develop effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Effectively communicates expectations; accepts accountability and holds others accountable for performance.
- Regular and reliable attendance is required for the job.
