BWX Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking an IT Support Analyst for its Washington, DC location!
The IT Support Analyst position works as a member of the Information Technology team to extend 1st and 2nd level support to local and remote end users. This position directly supports the executive staff. This position must develop and maintain good working relationships, resolve problems, and positively influence others to successfully deliver customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide 1st and 2nd level Service Desk support directly to local and remote executive staff.
- Support end users and Site Administratorson PC and software-related issues.
- Minimize equipment failures through proper design and setup of standardized desktop systems and processes.
- Install, relocate and upgrade PC hardware, software, peripherals, and other devices to satisfy business and end-user requirements.
- Work with IT Operations management to determine the strategic direction for the desktop environment, including evaluating and testing new technologies.
- Develop work procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, and end-user technical documentation related to the desktop environment.
- Maintain computer cabinets, storage rooms, and inventory of PCs, Laptops, peripherals, and parts.
- Ensure effective communication between desktop support team and the rest of the IT organization, including status reports of projects and systems issues.
- Provide, configure, troubleshoot, and track company smartphones and broadband devices.
- Carry out audit tasks to ensure secure systems, and perform management oversight to meet SOX and internal audit commitments.
- Plan and execute User system refresh.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum job requirements:
- High school diploma.
- Four (4) years of related experience, including IT support to executives.
- Technical proficiency in areas relating to computer hardware, computer operating systems, and desktop applications.
- Experience in PC imaging and software package creation and deployment.
- Ability to make contacts with other departments, requiring tact and judgment to ensure effective support.
- Ability to report to work at an assigned office location in Washington, D.C.
- Ability to identify, research, and resolve desktop system issues in a timely manner.
- Commitment to ongoing training and new system implementation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage priorities and handle multiple tasks successfully.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple complex situations independently.
- Ability to develop effective working relationships with customers, co-workers and Administration.
- Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.
Additional Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Salary
9/80 schedule - 26 Fridays off per year, Discretionary PTO, Paid Annual shutdown between Christmas and New Year's Day, merit increases, bonus
