Overview
Join our team as an IT Support Specialist! The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing a high level of operational support for both standard network and hotel industry specific technology. The role also entails providing IT support services to guests and staff as well as coverage for the computer systems, under the direction of the IT Director. Specific skills needed: Network administration, PC and network trouble shooting, file server configuration, backup systems configuration, network switch management, Mail Server management, operating system and application software upgrading, prioritization of multiple projects and demands on a constant basis, anti-virus and firewall management, hardware configuration, hotel specific application maintenance and administration.

Responsibilities
- Technical Support: Provide first-level technical support to users via phone, email, and in-person for hardware, software, network, and system issues.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to operating systems, applications, hardware, and network connectivity.
- System Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and updates on computer systems, servers, and network equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- User Training: Educate users on best practices, software applications, and IT policies to enhance their technical skills and productivity.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of support requests, resolutions, and IT processes using a ticketing system.
- Equipment Setup: Install, configure, and deploy hardware and software, including desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
- Network Management: Assist with the management of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Security: Implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures to protect company data and systems.
- Vendor Coordination: Liaise with third-party vendors for warranty services, software licenses, and technical support as needed.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend and implement improvements to IT services and infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Background in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or Science or equivalent experience and/or certifications. Advanced certifications (desired). Network+; A+; Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA); Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE); Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
