Duties
- As a help desk support specialist, you will be supporting a variety of tier 1/2 issues including:
User Account Management
- Perform password resets and account creations in Active Directory (AD)
- Manage user permissions and access rights
- Assist with Group Policy Object (GPO) implementation and troubleshooting
Technical Support
- Provide first-level and second-level support for various Microsoft tools and applications
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
- Escalate complex issues to appropriate IT teams when necessary
Ticket Management
- Efficiently use the ticketing system (similar to Remedy or ServiceNow) to track, update, and resolve user issues
- Prioritize and manage multiple tickets simultaneously
- Maintain accurate documentation of all support activities
System Administration
- Assist with basic system administration tasks related to Microsoft technologies
- Help implement and maintain security protocols and best practices
- Participate in system upgrades and migrations as needed
User Education
- Provide clear, patient guidance to end-users on IT-related topics
- Create and maintain user documentation and FAQs
- Conduct basic training sessions on common IT tools and procedures
Continuous Improvement
- Stay updated on emerging IT trends and technologies
- Contribute to the development of IT support processes and procedures
- Participate in team meetings and knowledge-sharing sessions
Requirements
- DoD Secret clearance
- CompTIA Security+
- High School Diploma + 2 years' IT experience
