IT Network Systems Administrator

Position Summary: IT Network Systems Administrator
- The Systems Administrator will manage specific client IT environments including MS Exchange e-mail, file/print, Office 365, hardware and unique software, VMWare virtual servers, and backup servers and their associated operating systems and software.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot moderately complex application server hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Manage Microsoft patch deployments.
- Secure systems to (and maintaining compliance with) appropriate cybersecurity policies.
- Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
- Perform system backups and recovery
- Resolve escalated Help Desk issues.
- Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for network resource administration, appropriate use, and disaster recover

Requirements
Systems Knowledge needed: IT Network Systems Administrator
- Microsoft Windows servers and VM (Hyper-V) Environments.
- Knowledge of Azure and Office 365 administration
- Knowledge of Linux
- Proficient understanding of technology areas such as Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy and DFS.
- In-depth knowledge of Windows Server 2008-2016/Windows 7/10
- Experience with MS Exchange
- Strong scripting knowledge a plus.
- Absolutely most have GREAT written and verbal skills and ability to keep excellent logs, inventory, notes and documentation!
DUTIES: IT Systems Administrator • Maintenance, efficiencies and security of cloud-based and IT systems infrastructure • Enterprise systems monitoring for systems health and security. • MS Windows group policy maintenance • End User account maintenance, support and computer deployments. Includes supporting mobile computing environments. • End User education and training regarding updates or new Enterprise applications. • Conduct end-user education and training on new or updates to existing Enterprise applications. • User & desktop Windows & MacOS support to remote employees • Collaborates with IT Manager and other staff to address errors, modifications, research and resolutions. • Additional duties as required. SKILLS: IT Systems Administrator • Highly developed communication abilities-written, verbal and interpersonal on all levels with staff and clients to provide great customer service. • High level problem solving and analytical abilities, along with excellent time management. • Superior understanding of computer and networking hardware and software systems. • Proficiency in MS Office or other related software REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: IT Systems Administrator • High school diploma or equivalent required • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in relevant field • Valid Alaska Driver’s License; possession of a functional, insured vehicle. PREFERED CERTIFICATIONS: IT Systems Administrator • Microsoft Support Engineer Certifications • ITIL v4 Foundation • CompTIA Network+ • CompTIA A+ • CompTIA Security+
