JOB DESCRIPTION
The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for the provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure.
This role will support both the headquarters and hotel technology systems, ensuring the seamless operation of IT services across all locations. The IT Systems Administrator will work closely with the VP of Information Technology to implement strategic technology initiatives, troubleshoot issues, and optimize systems for maximum efficiency and security.
The IT Systems Administrator will also work closely with various departments, including hotel operations, finance, and marketing, to ensure that technology solutions align with business goals. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Systems Management:
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
- Ensure the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes.
- Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement fixes.
- Network Administration:
- Manage and support the HQ network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls, and wireless systems.
- Monitor network performance and optimize as necessary to ensure reliability and security.
- Project Management:
- Assist the VP of IT in planning and executing IT projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Backup & Disaster Recovery:
- Manage backup and disaster recovery plans for all critical systems.
- Regularly test disaster recovery plans and update as necessary.
- Asset Management:
- Track and manage IT assets, including hardware inventory, software licenses, and warranties.
- Ensure that all IT assets are properly documented and maintained.
- Technical Support:
- Provide high-level technical support and troubleshooting for critical application issues.
- Develop and maintain documentation for application processes, configurations, and updates.
- Establish best practices for application use and management across the organization.
- System Integration:
- Ensure seamless integration of applications with existing systems and infrastructure.
- Work closely with IT infrastructure teams to optimize application performance.
- Lead efforts to integrate new applications with hotel and HQ systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in IT systems administration, preferably in a multi-site environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server environments.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365
- Strong understanding of application management, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and project management.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Proficiency in managing network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
- Experience in the hospitality industry or with hotel management systems is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of security best practices and tools.

Compensation: Salary
Location: Nashville TN
Schedule: Monday- Friday, and on-call availability for emergency situations may be required.
