Job Description
The desktop/field support tech will provide help via calls by phone, email, remote login and in person to our remote location end users. The perfect candidate must be proficient with computer hardware, software and Windows 10 OS. The person must be comfortable installing and configuring an OS, software and hardware including Windows 10, Microsoft Office, printers, surveillance systems and preconfigured routers, switches and firewalls. A good understanding of how VLANs and Port Forwarding work is required. The desktop/field support tech must be personable and comfortable working closely with people. They need to have the ability to answer questions from end users and have timely follow up. Since the position requires traveling with in 2h radius of our Headquarters in Morgantown WV will provide a company vehicle and gas card.
- Excellent skills working with Windows 10, Microsoft Office 2016 Android
- Excellent skills troubleshooting Desktop Hardware and Peripherals
- Understanding of how Surveillance systems work
- Working knowledge of LANs, VLANs, WANs
- Working knowledge of a range of diagnostic utilities
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated ability with trouble shooting and problem solving skills
- Willing to work in an on-call capacity to address and respond to critical issues as they arise
- Good analytical thinker
- Pays attention to detail
- Experience working with a variety of personalities and with various computer experience
- Ability to multitask and prioritize issues
- Experience working in a team environment
