Summary:
The IAM Lead, is responsible for overseeing and guiding the strategic direction, implementation and ongoing management of Quaker Houghton’s IAM Program and serves as its Product Owner. This role involves close collaboration with various departments and stakeholders to ensure that IAM policies and systems effectively support the organization’s security, compliance, and operational needs, including the technology, architecture, processes and procedures.
Reporting directly to the global Head of Information Security, this role will be a member of the Security Leadership team and have the opportunity to establish the IAM Foundational capabilities in a global organization. Working closely with the Infrastructure and Operations team to execute the vision, this role is critical in reducing risk and building of secure IAM solutions to effectively manage access, identity and authentication in order to prevent unauthorized access to Quaker Houghton’s confidential information.
Job Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership and Planning:
- Define the vision, roadmap, requirements for the IAM program, aligning it with the organization’s overall security posture and business objectives
- Lead the planning, development, and implementation of IAM solutions, including user identity verification, access control, and identity lifecycle management
- Leads an IAM selection process, evaluates existing and emerging technologies and tools in the selection of a global IAM service offering
IAM Subject Matter Expert:
- Facilitates the use of technology-based tools or methodologies to review, design and/or implement products and services to provide a strong IAM program that balances access with compliance and confidentiality
- Identifies and evaluates complex business and technology risks, internal controls that mitigate risks, and related opportunities for internal control improvement
- Identifies the broader impact of current decisions related to user access, data access and information security
Risk Management & Mitigation:
- Asses and address risks associated with user access and identity management
- Implement measures to mitigate potential security breaches related to IAM
- Establishes privileged access management risk mitigation procedures
Awareness, Training and Other Communications:
- Fosters an understanding of the need for and application of the IAM system, and facilitates decision making with the business users
- Builds and nurtures positive working relationships with business units
- Identifies opportunities to improve engagement with the business units
IAM Operations:
- Oversees the IAM Operations to ensure IAM tools and services are operating across QH and provide support for IAM-related tooling and system incidents/changes, as required
- Manages the Identity Access Management Processes including CIAM, PAM. & High Value Asset Security role to establish and implement manage privileged accounts throughout the organization.
- Oversees the implementation of solutions for integrating new applications or infrastructure platforms into IAM processes.
Policy Development & Compliance:
- Ensure IAM Processes are aligned across the organization
- Develop, document standards for the organizational use, along with measure adherence and exceptions.
Work Environment:
- Work from the Conshohocken Office - Ability to travel to Global Q-H sites
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Education and/or Certification:
10 years of relevant work experience in the IT industry with 5+ years of expertise in Application and Data Security
3+ years of experience leading technical teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- Certified in one or more of the following: CRISC, CISA, CISM, CISSP, SANS GIAC Security Certifications, ITIL, ISO27001
Experience:
- Deep expertise in identity and access management concepts, including but not limited to, types of authentications, IAM models
- Knowledge of different access-based control models (Role-Based, Mandatory, etc.), federation technologies like OpenID Connect, SAML, OAuth, WS-FED.
- Proficiency in security architectures, cloud computing security, and compliance frameworks
- Hands-on experience with IAM solutions (e.g., Okta, SailPoint, Microsoft Purview, Entra etc.)
