Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and services to corporate clients on a wide range of business immigration matters, including but not limited to H-1B, L-1, E-2, O-1, and EB-5 visa applications.
- Prepare and file petitions and applications with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and other relevant government agencies.
- Advise clients on immigration compliance and related legal issues.
- Conduct legal research and stay current with changes in immigration laws and regulations.
- Represent clients in immigration hearings and appeals, if necessary.
- Work closely with clients to develop and implement immigration strategies that align with their business objectives.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and staff within the firm to ensure a comprehensive approach to client service.
- Maintain accurate and organized case files, documentation, and client records.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Must be admitted to the New York State Bar.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience practicing business immigration law.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. immigration laws, regulations, and procedures.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and projects with strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, government officials, and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with corporate clients on complex immigration matters.
- Familiarity with PERM labor certification process.
- Proficiency in a second language is a plus.
