We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Industrial Automation Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our manufacturing operations, using their skills and experience to design, implement, and maintain our automated systems. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, technologically advanced environment and enjoys the challenge of optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
Responsibilities:
As an Industrial Automation Controls Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:
1. Designing, developing, and maintaining control systems and components for our manufacturing machinery and processes.
2. Programming and troubleshooting Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs to ensure optimal performance.
3. Providing technical support and guidance to the production team, addressing any issues related to the control systems.
4. Collaborating with other engineers and professionals on electrical design and installation projects.
5. Conducting regular inspections and tests of electrical equipment and systems to identify any faults or areas for improvement.
6. Overseeing the commissioning of new systems and equipment, ensuring they meet all safety standards and operational requirements.
7. Training staff on equipment operations and establishing best practices for maintenance and troubleshooting.
8. Continually researching and implementing new technologies and methods to improve efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial automation control systems design and maintenance.
3. Proficiency in programming and troubleshooting Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs.
4. Strong knowledge of electrical design, installation, and commissioning.
5. Exceptional technical support skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex concepts and processes to non-technical team members in person and virtually.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail and a focus on quality.
7. The ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
8. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
9. Ability and willingness to travel nationally and internationally 30% of the time and interface with customers, vendors and team members.
10. Experience working in an active manufacturing environment and knowledge/adherence to safety standards.
