Industrial Field PLC Technician

Job Type: Full Time

Schedule: Traveling 100% - Time home every 2-3 weeks (weekends). Requires overtime.
Compensation: GSA Per Diem, Travel Pay, Laptop, Cell Phone, and Company Card for expenses.

Responsibilities

• Preventive maintenance of electrical systems including control circuits, actuators, and sensors.  
• Troubleshooting electrical and sensor malfunctions.
• Knowledge of electrical testing equipment including voltmeter, ammeter, and ohmmeter.
• Preparation of electrical maintenance reports.
• Read and understand electrical schematics and PLCs.

Requirements

• Training or apprenticeship as an industrial electrician or PLC Technician.
• Field experience working on industrial electrical components, sensors, and actuators, use of hand and power tools, and reading blueprints.
• Able to effectively communicate through conversation, phone, text, and email.
• Must be able to travel 100%

Skills

• Industrial electrician – 3 years minimum – Required.
• PLC installation, programming, and trouble shooting.
• Industrial electrical systems troubleshooting.
• Microsoft Office: Office, word, and Excel.
• Blueprints – Metric callouts and electrical diagrams.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician or similar.
• 3 years’ experience field industrial service electrician or field service technician (Electrical/ PLC).
• Food & Beverage industry is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license
• Comfortable at heights and confined spaces.

License or Certificates: PLC Technician or Journeyman Electrician (NCCER) and OSHA 10 Required
