Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care in accordance with acceptable standards of nursing practice and the written plan of care as well as physicians plan of treatment
- Demonstrate sound clinical judgement
- Provide respectful and compassionate care to all residents/families/caregivers
- Provide direction to clinical team members
- Maintain resident confidentiality
- Accurate documentation in accordance with the provided orders
- Responsible for identifying, investigating, monitoring, the use of PPE, education and training on disease process and prevention of associated infections
- Collaborate with the center's team and individuals to create infection prevention strategies, provide feedback, and sustain infection prevention strategies
- Focus on Quality Improvement
- Public health, epidemiology, clinical laboratory science, medical technology or related experience is required
Here is what is needed to be part of this amazing team:
- Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a RN in the state of Rhode Island
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience in a long term care setting/skilled nursing facility Required
- Certification in Infection Control and Epidemiology required (if not certified, we can provide assistance to get certified)
- BLS/CPR Certification Required
- Primary series of the COVID Vaccination is required (or new bivalent COVID Vaccine or medical exemption)
