Infectious Disease Scientist - II from Innova Solutions

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for an Infectious Disease Scientist

Position type: Full-time Contract
Duration: 24+ months
Location: West Point, PA

Responsibilities:
Our team's objective is to solve key challenges in developing and progressing vaccine candidates for microbial targets. To help us achieve this goal, this individual should possess technical skills in immunoassays and in vivo mouse work.
Responsibilities include:

• Collaborating in a fast-paced, integrated, multidisciplinary team environment
• Evaluating preclinical immune sera in immunoassays and functional assays
• Contributing to mouse vaccine immunogenicity and challenge studies with bacterial pathogens
• Preparing technical documents and data for presentations and to support regulatory submissions
  
  Qualifications: Required Education:
• BS/BA in Microbiology, Bacteriology, or a closely related field with 4 years of related lab experience
• Masters in Microbiology, Bacteriology, or a closely related field with 2 years of related lab experience
• PHD in Microbiology, Bacteriology, or a closely related field with 1 year of related lab experience
  
  Required Skills:
• Experience with immunoassays and/or functional antibody assays.
• Experience with bacterial culture and cell culture.
• Hands on research experience with in vivo mouse models.
• Hands on research experience within a BSL-2 environment.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and graphing software (GraphPad Prism).
  
  Preferred Skills:
• Bacterial vaccine research experience.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Experience with ELISA and electrochemiluminescent (ECL) immunoassays.
• Experience with opsonophagocytic killing assays (OPA/OPK) or serum bactericidal assays (SBA) functional antibody assays.
• Experience with automated liquid handling systems.

  Pay Range*: Pay Range: $44- $46 per hour.
  *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
