About the Job
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Mold setup and removal activities
- Position and install new mold including connecting all electric and water
- Assist in setting up and removal of molds, changeovers and operation to run production.
- Disconnect and remove mold from press
- Setup and maintenance of auxiliary equipment.
- Chillers, thermolator's, dryers, grinders, fixtures, etc
- Adjust press settings for production
- Perform all necessary machine adjustments to meet part quality requirements
- Perform all necessary machine adjustments to achieve target cycle times
- Investigate any machine or process malfunction and take appropriate corrective action
- Be able to start up and shut down presses
- Work efficiently to reduce downtime of press/mold
- Mold maintenance
- Perform routine maintenance and mold storage procedures to prepare for future production runs
- Loading presses with proper material
- Assist with material handling as needed
- Recording press production settings
- Check parts to meet customer requirements
- Train and assist press operators:
- Ensuring Quality; visual inspection of parts
- Trim excess flash/materials from parts
- Packaging
- Documentation track time, quality and scrap. Use weight scale for counting.
- Coordination of regrind
- Train, mentor, and motivate operators
- Works well with others including good communication skills at shift changes
- Look for continuous improvement in production, quality, efficiency and safety.

- Ships completed parts

Requirements:
- High School diploma/GED
- Forklift Experience Use of a variety of hand and power tools
- 1 year experience with Plastic Injection Presses and molds
- 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment
- Maintenance skills
- Always require to perform safely, maintaining quality and contribute in process improvements Position reports to shift Foreman.
Supports Foreman in coordination of shift, materials, setup and mold changes.
