Inside Generator Sales Representative Opportunity Summary:
Inside Generator Sales Representative is responsible for supporting the sales team by estimating and quoting potential sales, coordinating internal efforts to produce the products sold, and monitoring post-sale activity to project completion.
Job Duties:
- Supports outside sales representatives in developing estimates, quotations, vendor supplies, and startup service labor requirements.
- Research possible sales avenues of the Bid/Spec market, including Builders Exchange, Construct Connect, Engineering Firms, Electrical Contractors, Municipal bids, etc.
- Researching, vetting, qualifying, prioritizing sales/customer leads, and documenting findings in the CRM system.
- Qualifying and working with current vendors to assist in meeting our customer's specifications.
- Handles inbound sales lead calls forward to the appropriate outside sales representative to convert calls into sales.
- Coordinate project files with our project management team.
- Coordinates with project management team activity between vendors and between service, parts, and sales departments to ensure timely delivery of equipment and services needed to fulfill a customer order.
- Enters information into the system to capture costs and progress on sales projects and provides timely and accurate reports of these measurements of performance and progress. Assures critical milestones associated with the project are met and maintains the related files for each transaction.
- Interfaces with the outside sales team to clarify project scope and deliverables for each project assigned.
- Monitors the sales department's inventory to maximize stock generator sales.
- Coordinates/supports any post-sales activity with our project management team.
Work Experience & Qualifications:
- 4+ years of relevant generator sales experience and/or equivalent industry experience.
- Technical background in Industrial Generators, Automatic Transfer Switches, and related components.
- Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Competent knowledge of business software systems, such as Microsoft Office and Salesforce.
