IES is seeking an Installation Engineer to work effectively as part of a team to move, pack, decommission, dismantle, assemble, and install equipment and machinery. The Installation Engineer will have to troubleshoot any mechanical problems using engineering principles and ensure that the relocation of equipment is undertaken using safe practices.
This role calls for someone who is willing to learn new skills, work individually and as part of a team in order to achieve project deliverables on time and within budget. You may also be required to work overseas, evenings and weekends as needed.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS EMPLOYEE CAN BE BASED ANYWHERE IN THE CONTINENTAL U.S. BUT WILL BE TRAVELING TO CLIENT WORKSITES FULL TIME. TRAVEL COULD BE ANYWHERE FROM 1 DAY TO 2-3 WEEKS DEPENDING ON THE PROJECT.
Responsibilities:- Decommission, dismantle, install, and assemble equipment using engineering principles and job-related training
- Safely operate ground handling equipment and forklift
- Deliver Press tech support to clients as required
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues related to the assembly or installation of the equipment
- Complete all activities in accordance with company standards and with a “safety first” approach.
- Accurately complete all documentation
- Ensure that tool set is checked and logged before leaving site
- Complete work within agreed timeline and budget
- Ensure that customer requirements are met
- Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology a plus, but equivalent certifications or work experience are acceptable as a substitute
- Complex equipment systems assembly and installation experience required
- Strong mechanical aptitude, including ability to read blueprints and schematics, use various hand and power tools, and quickly learn new technology
- Knowledge and experience with machinery movement and logistics
- Experience lifting sensitive and heavy equipment preferred
- Forklift certification and advanced warehouse equipment skills preferred
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills for customer and team interactions
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to change
- Proficient with MS Office
