Maximus is currently hiring a Instructional Design Specialist to support our Florida Healthy Kid team. This is a remote opportunity. The Instructional Design Specialist is responsible for designing and developing e-learning and blended learning content to support a virtual training environment. Monitor content for consistency, accuracy, and user experience, while also designing ongoing training materials for system enhancements and initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and develop e-learning and blended learning content and ensure future accessibility of training materials.
- Monitor content for consistency, accuracy, clarity, ease-of-navigation and evolving best practices for user experience and interface.
- Design and develop ongoing training materials for system enhancements, releases, initiatives, and workflows.
- Consult with internal stakeholders to identify new requirements and strategies.
- Capture and diagram workflow processes.
- Adjust throughout the project to ensure the successful attainment of the learning and training objectives.
- Manage the development and refinement of data tracking processes.
- Develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope & complexity.
- General application of concepts & principles.
- Contribute to the completion of organizational projects & goals.
- Frequent use and general knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards.
- Apply knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 3+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous Florida Healthy Kids program experience preferred.
- Florida residency preferred.
- 3 to 5 years of Adult Learning Theory preferred.
- Excellent skills in Articulate 360.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Project Management skills.
- Ability to use eLearning tools and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Collaboration skills.
- Detail and solution-oriented.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
- Additional training or education in instructional design is a plus.
- Graphic design experience is a plus.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
