About the Job
The Division of Hematology-Oncology in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Instructor positions in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Board certified/eligible in specialty if applicable.
Responsibilities may include providing inpatient care and supervising both house staff and well-trained nurse practitioners. Ideal candidates will have experience as a practicing hospitalist as well as experience in hematology and/or oncology.
The successful applicant will have an opportunity to develop further as a hospitalist during a time in their career when they will need to illustrate additional professional training. Selected candidates will also gain additional training through practicing advanced medicine in a complex and diverse patient population. Applicants should have excellent qualifications in education and clinical care.
