Responsibilities:
The Insurance Clerk, Patient Accounts performs a variety of office clerical duties in connection with inpatient and outpatient insurance billings and payments. The Insurance Clerk, Patient Accounts also assists with coverage of hospital switchboard.
Essential Functions:
- The Insurance Clerk, Patient Accounts records and maintains complete and accurate transactions and patient billing information in the Hospital’s billing system in order to submit timely and accurate bills to patients and third parties.
- Processes work-lists and reports as may be assigned according to established procedures.
- Responds in a timely manner to questions or request for information received from Hospital departments, other staff members, patients and insurance companies.
- Submits bills to patients and third parties as may be assigned according to established procedures.
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday from 8:30am - 5:00pm
Qualifications:Education and Experience:
High School Diploma/GED required
