Position Overview: The firm is looking for a talented and ambitious Insurance Defense Associate Attorney to join their team. In this role, you will handle a variety of insurance defense cases, including personal injury, property damage, and professional liability claims. You will work closely with experienced attorneys and play a key role in developing and executing case strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in insurance defense cases through all stages of litigation.
- Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
- Conduct thorough legal research and prepare detailed memoranda on complex issues.
- Advocate for clients at depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.
- Develop and implement case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys and clients.
- Negotiate settlements and manage case files with efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide clear and timely communication to clients, offering expert legal advice and updates.
- Stay informed about current legal developments and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Washington Bar.
- 2+ years of experience in insurance defense or a related practice area (preferred).
- Proven litigation skills and experience handling complex cases.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Capacity to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
