Accounting Manager
Our client, a technology company, seeks an experienced Accounting Manager to lead their end-to-end accounting function. As a key partner to the CFO, you’ll drive process improvements, scalability, and team development. This role offers a blend of remote work and occasional on-site collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee critical accounting functions, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Credit & Collections, Fixed Assets, International Accounting, and Payroll.
- Optimize month-end close processes for efficiency and accuracy.
- Prepare financial statements and monthly close packages for executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Support investor reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Collaborate with the Revenue Manager to ensure GAAP-compliant revenue recognition.
- Lead and develop a high-performing accounting team, poised for growth.
- Enhance internal controls and establish policies and procedures.
- Manage tax return preparation (income, sales, use, etc.).
- Oversee the end-to-end financial audit process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
- CPA and prior Big-4 experience (preferred but not required).
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Familiarity with SaaS and/or technology companies, including knowledge of ASC 605/606.
- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles (FASB knowledge is a plus).
- Proficiency in NetSuite or Tier One ERP systems.
- Excellent Excel skills.
Soft Skills:
- Proven track record of building and developing high-performance accounting teams.
- Deadline-driven and detail-oriented.
- Effective written and verbal communicator across all organizational levels.
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure: $70 - $85 per hour.
