About the Job
Our Vaco team is partnering with a healthcare client on an interim Senior Accountant opportunity. We are looking for an accounting professional with physician healthcare experience (i.e. dental, urgent care, acute care, hospital, ASC, surgery center, etc.). Candidates without physician accounting experience will not be considered.
Candidates that meet these minimum qualifications will be considered:
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or similar
- Must bring 2+ years of full-cycle accounting experience in a multi-site, acute care, or physician based healthcare organization
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience
- Must be readily available and willing to commit through Summer 2025
As a Senior Accountant your typical day may involve:
- Performing assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger closing processes
- Assisting in the development of financial statements and reports
- Reviewing and explaining variances to budget/forecast and to previous reporting periods on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Preparing journal entries and monthly account reconciliations
- Working closely with other functional areas and business management to resolve issues and support achievement of business goals

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
- the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;
- other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
