Job Title: Intermediate-Level Cable Technician
Location: Temple,TX
Job Description: We are looking for a hardworking Intermediate-Level Cable Technician to support our data center operations. This role involves significant hands-on work and physical labor.
Responsibilities:
- Install, terminate, and test copper and fiber optic cabling throughout the data center.
- Perform the heavy lifting and placement of equipment, including servers, switches, and routers.
- Maintain and organize cabling pathways, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Assist with the physical setup and tear-down of data center infrastructure.
- Conduct regular inspections, cleaning, and maintenance to uphold data center standards.
- Operate tools and equipment required for cabling and infrastructure tasks.
- Comply with safety protocols and industry regulations at all times.
Qualifications:
- Intermediate experience in copper and fiber optic cabling installation and termination.
- Familiarity with structured cabling standards and best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Proficiency in using cable testing and certification tools.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor.
- Certification in OSHA 10 or equivalent safety training.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in data center environments.
- Knowledge of cable management systems and tools.
- Basic understanding of network equipment installation.
