How will I contribute?

As an Architectural Designer Intern, you will work under the direction of an assigned mentor to develop and implement project deliverables. As an Architectural Designer Intern, you willassist with 3D modeling and design, conducting field investigations, performing red-to-black markup/review tasks, and producing discipline deliverables such as floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, finish plans, interior and exterior elevations and sections, schedules, and installation details in conformance with CRB’s VDC standards. Will work on a variety of architectural assignments, likely on more than one project simultaneously, and will be expected to work closely with architectural staff members to ensure assignments are completed accurately and efficiently.

Core Responsibilities

• Developing project documents (e.g., calculations, reports, construction drawings and specifications, etc.) for clients in coordination with regulatory bodies and industry standards. 
• Assisting with development of conceptual designs and coordinating with the design team under direction of the project team lead.
• Coordinating with other disciplines and other internal and external team members (e.g., vendors, clients, and contractors).

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote)
• Interest in the Food & Beverage or Life Sciences industry strongly preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and develop actionable insights
• Must be willing to communicate and collaborate with multiple disciplines and other internal and external stakeholders (vendors, clients and contractors)
• Eagerness to learn about the AEC industry and apply academic knowledge to real-world engineering applications

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit and 3D collaboration tools (Navisworks, BIM360 Suite, Assemble)
• Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards within the AEC industry
• Prior internship or co-op experience in Architecture or related field

The pay range for a candidate selected for this position who is based in Broomfield is typically $22.00/hr.-$25.00/hr. The selected candidate’s pay will be based on various factors, including but not limited to work location, qualifications, and relevant experience. A housing stipend is available for students whose permanent residence exceeds 40 miles of the office.
