Job Summary:The West Bend Claims analytics internship is focused on the development of new talent by exposing interns to analyzing dynamic and challenging fields in tools such as Power BI, Snowflake, and ThoughtSpot. Interns will have the opportunity to gain a valuable understanding in analytic reporting, storytelling, and leadership exposure. Interns are assigned real world working projects to assist our analytics unit in delivering problem solving solutions to stakeholders.

As an intern, you’ll be working in a team of problem solvers helping to solve complex issues from strategy to execution.
- Be curious to try and test new ideas.
- Support research, analysis, and problem solving using a variety of tools and techniques.
- Engage in asking questions to produce high quality work and explore future opportunities to enhance our capabilities.
- Learn new systems and processes to develop standard operating procedures.
- Handle, manipulate and analyze data accurately and effectively.
- Communicate effectively and embrace different points of view when problem solving.
- Report status of activities to the Claims Data Analytics Manager and participate in various stakeholder meetings.
Qualifications:
A student in this role will be successful if they have the following skills or experience:
- Current college student with preference in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a business-related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Heavy interests in learning new skills inside new analytical tools such as Snowflake, ThoughtSpot, and Power BI.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
