Position Summary, Job Requirements & Responsibilities:The Iridium Internship Program is an opportunity for students to be a part of the Iridium teams shaping the future of satellite communications. As an Intern, you’ll begin making an impact on real projects from day one! Come prepared to grow, develop, and learn alongside a team and the leaders of our company. The Iridium Internship program is a 12-week program that runs from May 27, 2025 to August 15, 2025. During the program, interns will have the opportunity to provide valuable support to an Iridium department on a project or important work assignment. Interns will also be provided an opportunity to engage with senior leadership and fellow interns via regular engagement activities. Interns will participate in an end of internship presentation, where we ask them to reflect on their summer internships and present a summary of what they have learned and accomplished.
What We’re Looking For:
The Iridium Legal Department is seeking a bright 1L law student who will work with attorneys and non-attorney professionals to learn about the myriad legal, regulatory and compliance issues that arise in a high-tech, publicly traded company with a global footprint. Some of the possible practice areas you’ll get exposure to will include Contracts (sales, procurement, and U.S. Government), Corporate, Employment, Finance, Regulatory (domestic and international), Corporate Governance, and Security among others.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform legal and factual research.
- Organize, analyze, and validate information.
- Research and analyze best practices regarding a variety of company programs and initiatives.
- Review and monitor new and updated laws and regulations in relevant fields.
- Prepare written reports and correspondence.
- Assist with reviewing, drafting and revising a wide variety of contracts, including commercial sales and government contracts.
- Assist the legal team with updating, improving and maintaining procedures, processes, forms, and legal policy documents.
- Other duties as may be assigned.

Experience & Education Requirements / EEO:
Things You Must Bring to the Table:
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Must be currently enrolled in a JD program at an accredited academic institution, with expected graduation in May 2027
- US Citizenship is required
- Must be able to work at Iridium's McLean, Virginia office at least 3 days a week
