Interventional Gastroenterologist - NorthBay Healthcare

NorthBay Health is seeking a Board Certified, Licensed Interventional Gastroenterologist to practice in our highly regarded health system in Northern California. NorthBay Health is ideally located between the San Francisco Bay Area Region, Napa Valley and Sacramento. NorthBay Gastroenterology's team of board-certified experts employs a variety of advanced treatments, from medications to minimally invasive endoscopic procedures and complex digestive endoscopy. Patients with complex conditions benefit from education and case management provided by our specialized nurses.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Dedicated procedure time
• Inpatient/Outpatient Responsibilities: Balanced distribution of inpatient and outpatient care
• Call Ratio: General call and Interventional call responsibilities
• Daily Patient Census: Manage a consistent daily patient load
• Equipment/Resources: Access to state-of-the-art equipment and comprehensive resources
• Provider Support: Collaborative team of physicians and Advanced Practice Professionals (APPs)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of interventional GI procedures, including ERCP, EUS, and advanced endoscopic techniques
• Provide general gastroenterology care
• Utilize advanced imaging modalities and navigational tools for accurate diagnosis and treatment
• Evaluate and manage patients with complex gastrointestinal conditions
• Collaborate closely with referring physicians and other specialists
• Participate in multidisciplinary conferences and tumor boards
• Provide patient education and counseling
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, clinical research projects, and educational activities
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system

Minimum Requirements:

• MD or DO degree
• Board-certified in Gastroenterology
• Fellowship-trained in Interventional Gastroenterology
• Licensed to practice medicine in the state
• Proven experience in interventional gastroenterology procedures
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
