Job Description
Purpose & Scope:
The Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist Trainee will experience a progressive and independent clinical education guided by the program’s Director, Staff/Lead Technologists, and IR providers.
Under supervision and/or direction performs a variety of technical procedures that will require ingenuity and initiative in applying prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas and procedures as required, including, but not exclusively, those responsibilities necessary for proper functioning of the Interventional Radiology Section.
Education:
Associate's degree from an accredited program in radiologic technology is required.
Experience:
None
Certification/Licensure:
Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.
BLS certification required.
