Position Summary:
Job Summary:
The Inventory Calibration Specialist is responsible for managing calibrated tools and equipment inventory. This role involves coordinating calibration schedules, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring that all equipment meets quality and compliance standards. The specialist collaborates with various teams to support production, engineering, and maintenance operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels, track stock movement, and report discrepancies.
- Calibration Management
- Schedule and coordinate the calibration of tools and equipment to ensure they meet required standards.
- Record and track calibration certificates, ensuring that all equipment maintains compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
- Work with third-party calibration service providers and monitor service agreements.
- Inventory Audits: Conduct regular cycle counts and full inventory audits to ensure stock accuracy, reporting any inconsistencies or losses.
- Order Fulfillment: Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment by preparing and distributing stock to meet demand and reduce backorders.
- Data Entry & Documentation: Record inventory changes, stock adjustments, and product returns using the inventory management system.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with the team to optimize inventory control practices and streamline processes.
- Reporting: Prepare and distribute inventory-related reports to management, including stock level reports, turnover rates, and reorder points.
- Compliance & Safety: Adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience in calibration, inventory management, or quality control, preferably in a regulated industry.
- Proficiency with inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Basic computer skills, including MS Office (Excel, Word
- Excellent attention to detail to maintain accurate records and identify discrepancies.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work in various warehouse environments.
