Job purpose
To plan, organize, direct, manage and evaluate Inventory Control and Warehouse team members in daily tasks of verifying, tracking, maintaining and improving inventory to support business demands; the identification of opportunities for inventory operation improvements; promote and implement the company’s core values and excellence in customer service; responsible for maintaining strong relationships with internal and external customers.
Duties and responsibilities
Develop the company’s inventory management strategy in support of company resources and regulatory compliance procedures related to inventory management operations.
Provides multi-site inventory control management to warehouse facilities.
Develop, communicate and train inventory management policies and procedures.
Develop key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of inventory management operations.
Direct and manage inventory transfers accurately and timely between multi-site locations.
Plan, coordinate and execute cycle counts.
Manage, maintain and control inventory stock counting and inventory accuracy checks.
Directs and coordinates physical inventories.
Minimize overstocks and removal of obsolete inventory.
Compile data from sources such as invoices, purchase orders, and accounting reports.
Enter information into Warehouse Management System to maintain accurate inventory, purchasing, shipping and other records.
Count material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock and post totals to inventory records.
Review compiled inventory reports such as quantity, type and value of products, and equipment and stock on hand.
Verify and compare clerical computations, physical count of inventory and system records. Adjust errors in computation or count.
Conduct investigations into inventory management incidents in order to verify and resolve complaints.
Compute figures from records such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to maintain current inventory.
Prepare reports such as inventory balance, price lists and shortages.
Research and verify shrink issues.
Allow for quick receiving/shipping of products to meet customer requirements in a timely manner.
Remain current with the latest inventory management and product handling tools, technology and procedures.
Coach, train, develop and manage the inventory control team members.
Supports maintaining a safe working environment and focuses on safe work habits.
Maintains a focus for self and team on continuous learning that will enhance skill sets and growth opportunities.

Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management and/or equivalent experience
5 years or more years in Logistics and Inventory Control Management
A minimum of 5 years of Supervisory experience
Comprehensive understanding of Warehouse Management Systems
Strong computer and data entry skills, required
Must have excellent customer service, both written and verbal skills
Must be strongly proficient in Microsoft Windows and Excel
Must have the ability to learn new software programs
Must have the ability to produce significant volume and work independently
Must be available on Saturdays during busy season

Sitting, Standing and Walking
Lifting: Raising or lowering an object from one level to another (includes upward pulling)
Carrying, Pushing, Pulling boxes and sample orders up to 75 lbs.
The successful candidate must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
