About the Job
The Inventory and Staging Supervisor has the responsibility for directing Material Handlers, Warehouse Coordinators, Inventory and Reconciliation Specialists, performing System21 and WMS transactions, ensuring accurate inventory in the Wautoma staging warehouse, shipping, and receiving of all raw materials, and packaging supplies and finished product over all shifts.
Inventory and Staging Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee all activities in shipping and receiving functional areas of the Wautoma Plant.
- Ensure all housekeeping activities are completed on a routine bases and area is always audit ready.
- Maintain high level of inventory and location accuracy including cycle counts as appropriate to ensure accurate inventory.
- Ensure scheduling consistencies between scheduling, production, and materials. Communicate any issue immediately.
- Execute and enforce safety and regulatory programs, including redzone safety checks, to assure long term safe operation of the facility.
- Recruit, direct, coach, lead and supervise Warehouse personnel in functional areas constantly raising the standard of performance. Establish education and development programs for employees including SOP’s, quality specifications, safety, and job expectations.
- Manage allergen storage of raw materials, intermediates, and components in line with quality and customer requirements.
- Work collaboratively with Port Edwards warehouse.
- Oversee train the trainer for forklift training. Ensure all new warehouse personnel are properly trained.
- Work with company spotters and logistic groups to ensure efficient trailer utilization.
Inventory and Staging Supervisor Requirements:
- High School Degree or Equivalent Required; Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent Preferred
- 3-5 years previous warehouse management experience, preferably in a dairy processing plant
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Strong working knowledge of computer software applications.
- Previous supervisory experience.
