Summary Reclamation is seeking a career professional looking for an opportunity to capitalize on their expertise as a Irrigations Systems Mechanic. Duty Location: Friant, California Responsibilities Installs, overhauls, and maintains equipment and machinery that utilize mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic principles as they relate to dams, large reservoirs, or irrigation projects. Equipment includes such items as hydraulically controlled drum gates, turbines hoisting equipment, electrically and mechanically controlled radial and bulkhead gates, valves, mechanical gears and controls related to these, and auxiliary and drainage pumps. Work involves the disassembly, inspection, determination of conditions of component parts, repair or replacement of worn parts, reassembly and adjustments, to close tolerances. Machines parts to specified tolerances, and uses various welding processes to weld commonly used metals of various sizes, shapes, and thicknesses. May perform masonry, carpentry, and painting. Performs rigging. Utilizes a variety of tools and equipment, power tools, metal band saw, drill press, lathe, metalwork forge, radial saw, impact wrench, gas, arc and electric welder. Operates gantry, bridge, crawler, and mobile cranes, hydrocrane, crawler tractors, front-end loaders, backhoe, graders, dump truck, boom truck, and motor vehicle Requirements Conditions of Employment You must be a U.S. Citizenship or U.S. National. You must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) at the time of application and is a condition of employment. Failure to maintain a CDL will result in the termination of appointment. A physical exam may not be required if a comparable agency approved examination was performed within the last 12 months. The cost of the exam will be reimbursed by the agency. You will be required to submit to a urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment as a condition of employment. This position is also subject to random drug testing.
