About the Job
The Junior Project Planner will perform a variety of research and administrative functions supporting Principal Investigators and Project Managers leading department teams to meet research project objectives.
The Junior Project Planner will support the Evidence, Policy, and Implementation Center (EPIC) at VA Boston Healthcare System. EPICs goal is to build capacity across Veterans Health Administration (VA) research to conduct state-of-the-art implementation science and enhance the real-world impact of research. EPIC will develop trainings, mentorship models, and methods to accelerate the translation of research discoveries and transform health care and policy in VA.
Responsibilities will include:
- Develop and draft research protocols of studies, compile and submit new grant proposals ensuring continued funding, compile, draft and submit IRB and other required documentation to ensure research efforts are compliant.
- Recruit and consent study participants, schedule research interviews and meetings, conduct semi-structured qualitative interviews, design surveys, administer surveys and consent study patients, manage all correspondence among all concerned parties.
- Maintain all databases of research, conduct literature and other internet-based searches ensuring research is current and compliant, conduct chart reviews and extract pertinent information, review and edit all reports, posters, manuscripts and presentations ensuring all information conveyed is accurate.
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data, use a mixed methods approach to data integration of survey and interview data, and summarize qualitative and quantitative findings for written report and to present to the community. Utilize graphic design and data visualization skills to prepare visual representations of data (e.g., infographics, tables, graphs, and dashboards). Coordinate all site visits and focus groups; coordinate information from such groups for the research group.
Position will work 100% offsite at VA Hospital Boston.
