Experience:

- A valid driver license issued from District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia or from jurisdiction of residence preferred.
- Fully vaccinated from Covid-19. Provide a copy of vaccination card.
- Proof of US Citizenship.
- The incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of this position either with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Must Provide US Citizenship or US Employment Authorization
- Must be 18 years or over
SUMMARY:
The janitor/cleaner is responsible for cleaning facility areas for "EVENTS DC." These events are scheduled for seasonal openings.
Work responsibilities include cleaning campus areas, dump trash, clean public restrooms. The janitor will clean interior and exterior areas of support facilities, including sidewalks and other specified areas. Janitors are also responsible for system-wide cleaning of bio-hazardous waste in arena facilities restrooms and designated areas.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Cleans interiors of support facility areas, and other designated areas in accordance with the agency requirements and industry best practices.
- Removes trash and debris; sweeps, mops, and strips floors; vacuums and operates floor waxer to buff, wax and polish floors. Cleans ceilings, walls, doors, vents, glass, furniture, overhead fixtures; cleans entire restrooms including the fixtures, walls, and floors, and re-stocks restrooms.
- Cleans and organizes cleaner's rooms, locker rooms, and other areas designated. Organizes and manage cleaning supplies, and materials, cleaning equipmet, hand trucks or other industrial equipment in a neat and orderly manner.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:
- Performs tasks and assignments according to agency's established safety practices and maintenance guidelines and attends required training classes.
