The Social Media and Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the social media presence and coordination of digital marketing efforts for SMG. This includes planning, developing, implementing and managing strategies for SMG’s social media accounts and supporting digital marketing efforts by assisting with planning, executing and tracking marketing campaigns across different channels.
Responsibilities include:
Social Media Management · Manage and Maintain SMG’s social channels · Schedule posts for Studio- and SMG-branded content · Develop creative and engaging social copy as needed · Incorporate Studio, SMG-brand content (i.e. SMG Culinary), and marketing campaigns · Communicate and coordinate information, creative, or content needs with respective departments · Oversee film studio promotional giveaways · Audit go-live, views/likes and other KPI’s · Recommend and advocate for social trends that increase CPM and conversions · Communicate any pertinent social feedback from channels to respective departments and stakeholders · Engage with followers and brand advocates · Schedule Tickets on Sale (TOS) dates, Studio content deliverables and SMG brand content · Integrate strategy in coordination with SMG Film, Ops, and Culinary departments · Work with SMG Guest Services for Guest recovery and trends · Work with SMG Ops to maintain/strengthen LSM presence · Set monthly brand strategy for Social engagement and efficacy · Research social performance data for the end-of-month overviews · Input pertinent data into film title wrap reports for studios · Ensure planning is timely and in coordination with other department priorities (i.e. graphic needs with Brand Dept.) · Remain knowledgeable of film releases, movie news, and social trends Marketing Coordination · Support digital marketing efforts, including SEO, PPC advertising, email campaigns · Assist in planning, executing, and tracking marketing campaigns across different channels · Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing initiatives · Perform administrative tasks such as donations, prize fulfillment, and monthly performance · Collaborate with different departments to ensure cohesive and effective marketing effort · Conduct market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities. |
- Minimum 3 years’ experience managing organic social channels for medium+ size companies, Exhibitor experience a plus
- Experience as a content creator and writer
- Knowledge of social media advertising platforms and analytics/reporting
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work on tight deadlines and manage internal and external scheduling requests
- Degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing or Public Relations a plus
