Summary:
Yorktown Systems Group, Inc. is seeking a qualified Joint Operations Center (JOC) Lead to provide professional services and mission support to the U.S. Army Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) located at Fort Polk, Louisiana. Mission Support services for the JRTC, one of the US Army's Combat Training Centers, entails providing realistic, graduate-level collective training experience at the Brigade Combat Team (BCT) level with the primary objective of training light infantry, airborne, air assault, rangers and other special operations units. Historically, the JRTC has hosted rotational exercises for US Army motorized and mechanized formations, as well as select units from the US Marine Corp, US Navy or US Air Force.
The JRTC typically hosts ten standard rotational exercises each Fiscal Year (FY). Typical standard rotational exercises are designed based on a 14 calendar day training period with 18 calendar days of Live Fires typically starting prior to Force on Force (FOF) and running concurrently during the fourteen (14) training days. The standard training exercise is scripted and typically based on any combination of offense, defense, and stability operations. Standard rotations take place in a generic region with scenarios and Opposing Forces (OPFOR) threats based on the Decisive Action Training Environment (DATE). Rotational Training Unit (RTU) missions conducted during standard rotations are generally in direct alignment to the RTU's standard Mission Essential Task List (METL) and training objectives.
Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in providing sufficient staffing and implement government approved process to accomplish all of the tasks associated with supporting the following:
- Replicate a higher headquarters
- Provide Training Analysis and Feedback Facility (TAFF) operations
- Support the AAR development and presentation process
- Enable Operations Group (OPSGRP) to maintain clear situational awareness and understanding over the exercise.
- Provide the capacity to exert influence and direction the exercise is going based on the unit training objectives and unit shortcomings.
- Provide opportunities to train the unit to standard.
- Provide the unit a high quality AAR designed to serve as a package for which the unit can use to refine its future training program.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must possess, at a minimum, military or civilian supervisory experience in exercise development, training management, or battle simulation.
- Previous experience as a Battalion Commander (O-5 equivalent) or Sergeant Major is preferred.
