About the Job
US Trades & Talent is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Journeyman Electricians to join our team. As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. You will work independently or as part of a team to ensure electrical systems are installed and maintained according to industry standards and regulations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems, installation techniques, and local codes and regulations. You will be responsible for reading blueprints, coordinating with other trades, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout and installation requirements
- Coordinate with other trades and project teams to ensure electrical systems are installed correctly and on time
- Inspect and test electrical systems to ensure compliance with local codes and regulations
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, outlets, and switches
- Provide estimates for electrical projects and materials
- Train and mentor apprentice electricians
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
Qualifications:
- Journeyman Electrician license from the State of Georgia
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in residential, commercial, and industrial electrical installation and repair
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, installation techniques, and local codes and regulations
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Working Conditions:
The Journeyman Electrician will work primarily on construction sites or in existing buildings, which may involve exposure to hazardous materials, equipment, and conditions. The role may require occasional evening or weekend work to meet project deadlines.
Physical Requirements:
The Journeyman Electrician must be able to stand, walk, and kneel for extended periods, as well as lift and move up to 50 pounds. The role may require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, and respirators.
