Essential Job Functions
- Read and understand construction documents and schedules.
- Understand the scope of the job, plans, and specifications efficiently.
- Construct various types of pipe joints for high or low-pressure systems; including soldering, threading, braising, and glue joints.
- Proper installation of all commercial plumbing fixtures.
- Cut, fit, fabricate and assemble a wide variety of materials and devices, including steel, copper, brass, plastic, and cast iron.
- Manage portions of projects and be the “right-hand man” to the Foreman.
- Forecast tasks and materials needed to complete the project.
- Capable of basic take-offs.
- Prepare equipment and tool lists.
- Take initiative and be self-sufficient.
- Leadership and mentorship skills.
- Able to identify and solve problems in the field.
- Ability to communicate effectively with Foreman, Superintendents, Supervisors, and others.
- Ability to do a layout of underground and top out.
- Delivers productive, efficient, quality, and safe work practices.
- Must have own personal hand tools as required.
- Responsible for working safely adhering to all aspects of our Health, Safety, and Environmental Program for self-protection and protecting co-workers, sub-contractors, the public, and the client by supporting all Company safety efforts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience, and Skills
- 5 years of commercial/industrial plumbing experience or a combination of field experience and education in the trade.
- Must be knowledgeable of relevant codes, regulations, and ADA requirements.
- Certification in the operation of equipment and other pertinent areas is a plus.
- Experience with copper, cast iron, and ABS/PVC.
- Strong math skills.

- Able to lift 50 pounds, perform repetitive physical tasks that require lifting, pushing, pulling of material/product, and standing throughout each shift.
- Candidates must have a valid California Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- All final candidates will be subject to a Fitness for Duty Test, Drug Screen, Motor Vehicle Report, and Criminal Background Check before hiring.
- Must be able to multi-task, have strong attention to detail, and have excellent time management skills to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Able to identify a need, remove the barriers, and know-how to make things happen.

- Must possess or obtain an appropriate state driver’s license before employment, along with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
