About the Job
As a Jr ETL Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining efficient and scalable Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather requirements, optimize data workflows, and ensure the accurate and timely extraction, transformation, and loading of data.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes to support data integration and transformation requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Implement data mappings, transformations, and data quality rules to ensure accurate and reliable data processing.
- Perform data profiling and analysis to identify data quality issues, anomalies, and improvement opportunities.
- Develop and execute efficient and optimized SQL queries for data extraction and transformation.
- Optimize and enhance existing ETL workflows to improve performance, scalability, and data quality.
- Collaborate with database administrators and data engineers to ensure seamless integration with data sources and targets.
- Document ETL processes, data mappings, and configurations for future reference and troubleshooting.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging of ETL processes to ensure accurate and reliable data processing.
- Stay updated with emerging ETL technologies, industry best practices, and data integration trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration of ETL solutions with other systems and applications.
- Support troubleshooting efforts and provide timely resolution for production issues related to ETL processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as an ETL Developer or similar role, with a strong understanding of ETL concepts and methodologies.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases.
- Strong data analysis and data manipulation skills.
- Experience with ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory, Informatica, SSIS, or Talend.
- Familiarity with data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration concepts.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Shell scripting.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and deliver high-quality results.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and development practices is a plus
COMPENSATION:
As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, American Freight provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and cultural fit. The range of starting pay for this role is $75,000 to $85,000 per year.
