Pay Range: $60000 - $75000 / year





Position Summary

The Jr. Project Engineer will provide support for projects in various stages of design, estimating and construction as well as assistance to various aspects of field and office activities.





Primary/Essential Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide documentation quality control on construction projects.

• Provides basic contract administration support at construction field office. 

• Assist in the coordination of construction contracts.

• Prepares construction contract correspondence for supervisor review. 

• Assists with coordination of the bidding process and correspondence flow for change orders and modification

• Prepares construction contract correspondence for supervisor review

• Assist in preparation of bid packages

• Assist Project Managers with the preparation and maintenance of construction schedules

• Prepares and maintains documentation of work performed in accordance record keeping procedures

• Prepare and maintain documentation and document control associated with a project in accordance with policies and procedures

• Assist in the preparation of additional work orders

• Assist with requirements for project close out

• Assist with keeping records related to construction progress





Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management

• 1-3 years’ experience in construction

• Ability to prepare change orders, filing and knowledge in establishing and maintaining project records

• Ability to use applicable software and record keeping methods

• Must have excellent PC skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint



Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Works in an office and field environment


• Frequent travel around the southeast region is required

• Frequently sits and/or stands for long periods of time

• Frequently speaks, reads, writes, and uses a computer keyboard

• May require occasional standing, walking, lifting, stooping, or bending
