We’re looking for a Junior SDET to help lead our efforts, they are responsible for the development, efforts and execution of manual, automated, unit and integration tests as part of the application development cycle for the entire development team. Interfaces with business and various IT groups involved in building the application and ensures satisfactory resolution of issues.
The Jr. SDET will work with teams across Holland America Group, with reporting offices in Santa Clarita, CA, and Seattle, WA, we’re looking for amazing humans across the country for this role. HA Group offers strong compensation and outstanding benefits including cruise travel.

Responsibilities
- Develops, documents, executes, and maintains technical test cases and test data
- Participates in developing and maintaining Integration (end-to-end), Regression, Performance, and Unit testing.
- Analyzes system and business requirements for testability
- Reports status of test plan execution via automation reporting tools.
- Supports application development, implementation, and user training activities, as required.
- Analyzes test results; assists with troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis
- Develops test strategies, including test scenarios, test objectives, quality criteria and measurement techniques
- Develops and documents test quality criteria and measuring techniques, as required.
- Displays knowledge growth and transfers that knowledge to development and support team members.
- Works with development and business team to translate testing requirements into User Story work within an agile team.
- Participate in Code Reviews within a team to assure all test coverage requirements has been meet before code approvals are accepted.
Requirements
- BS or BA degree in information systems, computer science, business administration or related work experience.
- Experienced with Integration, System, Regression, Performance, Stress and Performance testing including writing test cases.
- 1+ years of web application automated testing including design and implementation.
- 1+ years’ experience with automated test tools such as Selenium, Protractor, Jasmine, and/or JUnit.
- Experience in building automated tests using Selenium, Protractor, Jasmine, and/or JUnit.
- Basic knowledge of development tools such as Eclipse, IntelliJ, Jira, Maven, Hudson/Jenkins, and Git
- Basic knowledge of any object-oriented language such as JAVA, C#, and/or C++.
- Basic knowledge of web development languages such as AngularJS, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Basic knowledge of Agile (SCRUM) development practices.
- Basic understanding continuous integration/development practices.
- Excellent documentation and knowledge transfer skills
- Excellent communication, organizational and analytical skills to work with other developers and business administrators.
- Must be self-driven and have the ability to self-manage and meet team goals.
- Working experience with multiple operating systems (Unix/Linux) and scripting languages
- Working knowledge of multiple Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC) and industry standard development methodologies.
