Junior Staff Accountant - Ledgent Finance & Accounting

A manufacturing and construction company in Howard County, MD seeks an energetic, entry-level Staff Accountant

Responsibilities and Duties

• Daily/ Weekly - Full-Cycle of In-house Payroll through Vista ERP System.
• Employee Maintenance, Timesheet entry, Certified Payroll processing
• Daily/Weekly - A/P Invoice entry - Routing for approval, data entry, reviewing prior to posting for completeness.
• Weekly/ Monthly - Job Costs Material, Equipment, and Fuel to jobs based on input from Operations.
• Monthly - Bank Reconciliations.
• Ad-Hoc reporting as needed.

Qualifications

• 4 Year Degree in Accounting preferred or working towards degree.
• 1-2+ years of general accounting experience.
• Job Cost, General Ledger, A/P, and Payroll experience.
• Construction/Real Estate experience, Certified Payroll experience a plus
• Prior experience with large scale ERP - Vista, Oracle, JD Edwards, Dynamics a plus too.
• Concise communicator, will interface with all levels of the organization from Field Employees to Senior Management
• Ability to sit/stand at computer for prolonged period.
