KIPP NYC Public Schools is a non-profit network of 18 free, public charter schools in the Bronx, Brooklyn and Manhattan. We partner with families and communities to create joyful and rigorous schools in pursuit of a more just world. In 1995, we started our first middle school, KIPP Academy, in the Bronx, with a vision that every child grows up free to create the future they want for themselves and their communities. Today, our network consists of eight elementary schools, nine middle schools, one high school, and KIPP Forward, a comprehensive program to support our students and alumni in choosing and preparing for the educational and career paths that fit their goals and sense of purpose. KIPP NYC currently serves more than 11,000 students and alumni, has a staff of more than 1,000 (11 % of whom are alumni), and continues to grow!
Job Description- Ensure all schools maintain accurate and complete student files and data in both internal and external systems (e.g. PowerSchool, ATS, hard student files, etc), and manage yearly student file audits
- Support Per Pupil Billing systems, by compiling and analyzing billing and compliance data for all 19 schools, including the creation of monthly dashboards for student data and audits.
- Communicate with district partners for students that reside outside of the five boroughs
- Manage aspects of weekly Operations team communications and manage Ops Resources and Look Ahead Page and KIPP:Go! – informational hubs for school Ops teams
- Prepare written materials for a range of stakeholders, including Regional Leadership, KIPP NYC Board, regional staff meetings and network-wide communications.
- Create, maintain, and update project plans
- Work with KIPP NYC Finance team to support Title 1 and McKinney Vento programming
- Support the RDO with special projects as needed, and serve as point person for all special projects work
- Manage the Systems Access Document which outlines all applicable systems that require communication/coordination with the NYC DOE
- Serve as a thought partner with the RDO to ensure the most effective and efficient systems are in place for all systems
- Progress monitors the efficiency of daily systems and reports barriers directly to the RDO to inform continuous improvement
- Escalates concerns and challenges to the RDO in a timely manner
- Bachelor’s Degree, required with at least 4+ years in school operations, or related operations field
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook and Google systems (Sheets, Docs, Slides, Drive); experience in Automate the System (ATS). Asana, PowerSchool, Tableau, and Vendor Portal a plus
- Exceptional organizational, planning, and project management skills, including excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to produce high quality work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Ability to exercise discretion and judgment with the handling of highly sensitive and confidential information
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop productive working relationships with multiple stakeholders across the organization

Compensation and Benefits:
For the KIPP NYC Manager, Regional Operations position we offer a competitive salary ranging from $80,340- $92,700. Salary ranges at KIPP NYC are standardized based on role level and role function. Individual salaries are determined through a lens of equity, accounting for years of experience relevant to the role and scope of responsibilities, and are benchmarked against others within the same salary band.
