Envalior, a leading global engineering materials company, is seeking a Key Account Manager to join our Sales Team. As a Key Account Manager, you will be part of an energized and collaborative team, responsible for driving sales growth and creating new development projects. Requirements
We are looking for candidates who have a Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field and a minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing sales/account management. Strong customer interaction skills, a hunter mentality, and commercial acumen are essential. Experience in engineering plastics, particularly in the automotive industry, would be advantageous. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills and have a balance of commercial and technical knowledge. CRM experience and strong relationship building, negotiation, and influencing skills are also desired.
Account Strategy: Establish, coordinate & execute specific account tactics & plans to realize predefined/agreed sales and overall customer relationship objectives, both for the short- and long term. Define and implement a strategic account plan. Translate into Financial profitability and goals both strategically and tactically and be accountable for top line profit. Global Team: Regional contribution to global key accounts, project acquisition and program management as a functional global team member.
General Responsibilities:
- Establish and implement strategies as they relate to specifying and approving materials at strategic key accounts.
- Implement Sales and Market development plans to grow business in areas meeting profitability targets.
- Prospect for new accounts and new applications and qualify and prioritize sales prospects.
- Sell value compared to competitive offers and press advantages to gain customer commitment to close sales agreements.
- Forecast sales, reconcile variances and achieve budgeted sales
- Lead contract negotiations with the respective account(s) and ensure the conclusion of sales contracts.
- Coordinate technical service or after sales service activities towards the account
- Establish relationships with key contacts, understand customer needs & trends and communicate internally.
- Reporting in CRM tool.
- Monitor the complaint process and ensure an appropriate complaint settlement with the account within the agreed timeline.
- Monitor the account’s payment behavior and act to ensure payment within the agreed payment terms.
Potential Challenges
- Pro-active alignment with global counterparts regarding customers strategies, contracts and pricing
- Pro-active alignment with Envalior colleagues (e.g. product management, SCM, marketing)
- Forecast sales, reconcile variances and achieve budgeted sales for assigned accounts
- Negotiate prices, rebates, contracts directly
- Strong team building and team playing capabilities with internal customers
- Continuous improvement approach to relationship management with external customer stakeholders
- Must have demonstrated multiple examples of relationship building, negotiation and influencing skills in similar industry environments
- Maintaining best-in-class communication channels with customers
- Ensure sales call reporting
