Kids Ministry Administrator-10 hours week - The Crossing Church

Our church... is a non-denominational multi-site church with four St. Louis-area campuses where we gather each weekend to study this ancient story found in Scripture that is still transforming lives today. We believe church should be a place where believers in Jesus and skeptics can stand side-by-side to study truth and ask tough questions. We blend teaching and worship with art and technology to create a service where you can experience the message of Jesus in practical and life-changing ways.

Children's Ministry Administrator...this temporary part-time position responsible for the overall administration of KidsCrossing at our Fenton campus. In addition to managing the many administrative details involved in running Fenton KidsCrossing, this person will help to develop and serve volunteer teams. The Fenton Administrator will have weekday office hours.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Data Entry
  • Maintain and update the team members database in Rock
  • Add new families into the Rock database
  • Create lists and reports using database information

• Maintain the KidsCrossing ministry schedules and calendar
  
  • Maintain team member scheduling for weekend services in Rock
  • Oversee and maintain the entire process for scheduling events for Kids Fenton through the Ministry Request Process
  • Provide support for special events at Fenton as well as church wide special events including but not limited to:
    • Child Dedication Classes
    • Baptism Classes
    • Baptism
    • Team Member Appreciation events
    • Deck the Halls (Christmas)
    • Kids Worship Team Rehearsals
    • Girl's Night Out
    • All other KidsCrossing events at Fenton

• Oversee Connection and Onboarding Process
  • Coordinate with Campus Lead/Kids Staff in the volunteer connection and onboarding processes
  • Communicate with onboarding team members throughout the process until onboarding is completed
  • Send initial welcome letter, addendum and information
  • Schedule Exploring and Serve Convos with interested team members
  • Assist with new team members orientations and onboarding
  • Assist with team members trainings
  • Place new volunteers in their serving groups

• Provide support to volunteer leaders who oversee the following areas:
  • KidsCrossing ordering and supplies
  • Family Welcome Team
  • Weekday Prep Team
  • Girl's Night Out Team

• Oversee administrative tasks
  • Coordinate communiques and mailings to parents and team members

MUST HAVES FOR ALL STAFF AT THE CROSSING

• Attend a service at one of The Crossing campuses on a weekly basis
• Passionate about their relationship with God
• Baptized after making the thoughtful decision to follow Christ
• Regard the Bible as God's final authority in all areas of Christian life and desire to be wholly obedient to it
• Wholeheartedly affirm The Crossing's Statement of Faith, including our view on Baptism
• Live a lifestyle consistent with scriptural principles
