We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Kitchen Manager to lead the culinary team at our client's restaurant. As the Executive Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for upholding the highest standards of food quality, innovation, and kitchen efficiency. You will have the opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise while creating memorable dining experiences for our guests.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu development, food preparation, cooking, and plating, to ensure the highest standards of quality and consistency are maintained.
Collaborate with local farmers and suppliers to source fresh, seasonal ingredients for our farm-to-table menu offerings.
Develop and execute creative and innovative menus that highlight the flavors of locally sourced ingredients, while also accommodating dietary restrictions and guest preferences.
Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment focused on teamwork and excellence.
Manage inventory, ordering, and procurement of ingredients to minimize waste and maintain optimal stock levels while adhering to budgetary constraints.
Implement and enforce proper food safety and sanitation procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Work closely with front-of-house staff to coordinate seamless service and address any guest concerns or special requests.
Monitor kitchen expenses and labor costs to maximize profitability and achieve financial goals.
Stay updated on industry trends, culinary techniques, and new ingredients to continuously enhance menu offerings and kitchen operations.
Represent the restaurant at industry events and participate in community outreach initiatives to promote our brand and support local farmers and artisans.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager, or similar role in a high-volume, scratch kitchen environment.
Strong culinary skills and a passion for creating innovative and flavorful dishes using locally sourced ingredients.
Excellent leadership and management abilities, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team of culinary professionals.
Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices, with certification in ServSafe or equivalent preferred.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
